Dynamic treatment evaluation using duration analysis

This lecture series discusses analysis of treatment effects on economic outcome variables, emphasizing the timing of treatment. We rely on duration (survival) analysis to address model specifications, identification, and empirical examples, and we extend this framework in various directions.

Schedule

The course will take place at IFAU Uppsala (Kyrkogårdsgatan 6) on March 10 and 11, 2025. On each day, lectures take place from 10 am until 12 am and from 1.30 pm until 4.30 pm. On March 12, Gerard van den Berg will give a seminar at IFAU with the title: “Predicting re-employment:machine learning versus assessments by unemployed workers and by their caseworkers”.
